You know that feeling in your stomach. The one that always sets in when you are about to step outside of your comfort zone?
You feel like taking that next step will pop your safety bubble.
That's not good. There goes your security. You are complacent with settling for not knowing the unknown or ever experiencing something different.
You fear change. That feeling in your gut is called procrastination. You put the Pro in procrastinate. You make excuses, such as lack of time, support, facilities, or money. You fear change.
Excellence is not a single feat of greatness. Your goals will not be reached over night. I look back, and things I did 5 years ago are paying off now. Excellence is about doing things exceedingly well and consistently often. Trust me, I skipped calculus mid terms 5 years ago ... but the point is what I did what that experience and with the sacrifice I made that week.
Take small steps. Stay comfortable. Do not over do it. Raising the bar or the standards makes the goals set unattainable. It becomes unrealistic to maintain.
Fitness is not something achieved and forgotten.
Rather:
Fitness Goals are set and attained.
Fitness Levels are maintained.
Enhanced Performance. This is one of the key components to successful performance. You need to make progress. You need to reach new peaks of performance and make personal records.
Be sure to compare your accomplishments to the old you. Do not compare yourself to somebody else. Not with weight lost, muscle gained, strength increased, or techniques improved, never. You are not in control of the other person. Nor are you accountable for their actions. Remember when you surpass them, maybe they had a bad day.
